Scrybert is a conversation-transcription and summarization app. This page explains what it collects, how that data is processed, and who it's shared with. It's written in plain language and describes what the app actually does today.
What we collect
- Audio. Recordings made through the app or a connected Omi device while a conversation is active.
- Transcripts. Text produced from that audio.
- Summaries, action items, and pivotal moments. Generated from your transcripts: a written recap, any to-dos flagged in the conversation, and notable moments Scrybert identifies (or that you flag out loud).
- Context you provide. Names and relationships of people you tell Scrybert about, and things you tell it you care about, used to make summaries more accurate.
How it's processed
- Audio is transcribed on our own server, not a third-party transcription service.
- Transcript text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your summary, action items, and pivotal moments. The people/context you've provided is included in that request so the summary can use it, but is not stored on our server independently of that one request.
- We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where it's stored
Audio and transcripts are stored on infrastructure we operate directly, tied to your account. They are not stored on general-purpose cloud storage shared with other products.
Who it's shared with
The only third party your conversation content is sent to is Anthropic, for the sole purpose of generating your summary. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
Your choices
- You control what context (people, things) you give the app; none of it is required.
- You can delete conversations from your device at any time.
- You can contact us to request deletion of your data from our server.
Accuracy
Summaries, transcripts, and pivotal moments are generated by AI and can contain mistakes: misheard words, wrong names, missed context. Don't treat them as an authoritative record of what was said; when it matters, check the transcript yourself. We don't claim any special expertise or authority in what the AI produces.
Sensitive topics
Conversations sometimes include sensitive information: a symptom, a diagnosis, a legal or financial detail. Scrybert doesn't treat this differently from any other conversation: it's transcribed and summarized the same way as everything else, under the same terms described above. Scrybert is not a healthcare, legal, or financial service, and nothing it produces is a substitute for professional advice.
Children
Scrybert is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
