Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated September 20, 2026

This policy applies to Washington and Nevada residents and covers "consumer health data" as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370. It supplements, and does not replace, our main Privacy Policy.

What counts as consumer health data here

Scrybert's Pivotal Moments feature can infer health-related events from your conversations, for example, a diagnosis given or cleared. These inferences are consumer health data under this policy, even though they are generated from ordinary conversation, not medical records.

Purpose

We process this data solely to generate the Pivotal Moments feature on your device. We do not use it for any other purpose.

Sharing

We share this data with OpenAI, our AI subprocessor, only as needed to generate your summary and Pivotal Moments. Concretely: your transcript is sent to write the summary, and the finished summary is then sent a second time to look for Pivotal Moments in it. The raw transcript is sent to that second step only when you said “pivotal moment” or “first time” out loud, because that is the one case the summary alone cannot show. Under OpenAI’s API data usage policy, API content is not used to train its models. We do not sell this data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Speech-to-text happens on our own servers, not OpenAI’s, and the audio is deleted as soon as it becomes text.
